My brother Kumar's Memorial Service - 31 Mar 12
I delivered the eulogy, very similar to the one shared during his funeral service in Virginia Beach. Pastor John Daniel shared the message. The thrust of his message was, Kumar has done his part, we need to do ours. We screened four video clips on his life and passion. The celebration ended with dinner at PEC compound.
Poem read by Katherine:
Don't think of him as gone away-his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets-this earth is only one. . .
Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness scan really pass away.
And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched. . .
for nothing loved is ever lost- and he was loved so much.
you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you And whispered, "Come To Me."
with tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Indeed! He is a man who after GOD's heart. We have to carry out what he had left behind! HIS MISSION CONTINUES..
