Sunday at Jesus Lives Church
Today we had the joy of celebrating Father's Day at Jesus Lives. My mom and sister Saro, together with their helper, joined Jeya and me for the service. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the ushers and members of the church. This was only the second time Jeya and I have attended this church, yet we were made to feel very much at home.
I had the privilege of delivering the Father's Day message based on Proverbs 3:1–5. As I prepared for this message, I was deeply challenged and reminded once again of the importance of godly values, especially in the lives of fathers and families. It was a joy to share what the Lord had placed on my heart.
I also shared briefly the salvation story of the late Apostle Suppaya and the remarkable legacy he left behind. It was encouraging to recount how God graciously transformed his life, blessed his ministry, and firmly established the work of his hands. His journey stands as a testimony to God's faithfulness and the power of the Gospel to change lives, impact families, and influence generations for the Kingdom of God. Even though he has gone to be with the Lord, the fruit of his ministry continues to remain, touching countless lives and advancing God's Kingdom. The work is nor continued by his dear sons and grandchildren.
I also spoke about my dad, which I had covered in another earlier post.
The response from the congregation was both humbling and encouraging. Many people came up to me after the service to express how the message had spoken to them and blessed them.
Pastor Jonathan and the church leadership also expressed their appreciation, thanking me for bringing a message that had ministered to the needs of the congregation. Their kind words were a great encouragement and blessing to me.
I am especially grateful to Pastor Alex for his outstanding translation. Although I have only become acquainted with him recently, I have come to appreciate him as a wonderful brother in Christ, marked by great passion, commitment, and a genuine heart for the ministry. His excellent translation greatly enhanced the effectiveness of the message and enabled it to connect meaningfully with the congregation.
We too were richly blessed through the worship, fellowship, and the warmth of God's people. It was a meaningful and memorable Father's Day celebration.
Above all, we thank God for His presence, His faithfulness, and the privilege of serving Him. To God alone be all the glory.
