A day in Tokyo

While transiting to Toronto, Canada, we had a free day in Tokyo. That’s why the tickets were cheaper tham the usual. We arrived Haneda about 6 AM. The weather was cold with temperatures at 5 deg C. Took a bus to visit the Skytree tower in Sumida City.

Breakfast was at McDonalds. 😀 I know…

The weather was foggy and we could not see much from the Skytree at 450 meters high. But it was a good experience standing above the clouds.

We spent the afternoon at  Sibuya. Like two kids, we walked around, the streets trying all the ‘sweet stuff’ we will avoid in Spore. Watched the famous reputed crossing. But it was raining and people were in their umbrellas. People here do not walk, they literally run-walk, if there is such a word.

But I found the people friendly and obliging. Many seem to be able to speak English. That made traveling much easier.

We took the bus and retuned to Haneda Airport for our connection to Toronto.
