He loads us with blessings; He carries us in his arms

“Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah.” - Psalm 68:19 (NKJV)

“Praise the Lord; praise God our Savior! For each day He carries us in His arms.” - Psalm 68:19 (NLT)

Have you ever woken up wondering what the day might bring—or gone to bed worried about what tomorrow holds? None of us can predict the future, not even what the next hour may bring. But there is One who knows. God knows the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end. Every detail of our journey is known to Him.

If you are worried about the future, Psalm 68:19 offers a comforting assurance about what our path looks like each day. David praises God as the One who “daily loads us with benefits.” In other words, every morning when we rise, we can be confident that our loving Father has already prepared and scattered blessings along our path—tokens of His goodness and mercy waiting for us to discover. And these are not small or occasional blessings; He loads us daily—far beyond what we deserve.

What an amazing picture of God’s heart! He not only saves us once for all, but He also sustains us day by day. He goes before us, fills our journey with grace, and surrounds us with His favour. His blessings are not random; they are intentional, purposeful, and rooted in His love.

Yet sometimes, life doesn’t seem to fit that description. You may ask, “If God daily loads me with benefits, why am I facing so many problems and pains? Why does it feel as though He is silent or distant or even non-existent?”

That’s where the NLT translation of this verse brings out another deeper truth: “For each day He carries us in His arms.” Even when we can’t see His blessings or understand His ways, He is still carrying us.

The God who loads us with blessings is the same God who carries us through our burdens. What a tender picture—like a loving Father lifting His weary child, holding us close, and walking us through the storm.

I remember seasons when all I could do was weep in God’s presence. No words, only tears. In those moments, I felt as though I was resting on His lap, His gentle hand upon my head, whispering that He was near. That’s the Father’s heart—never distant, always present, even in pain.

So, praise God that He is planning daily to load us with His benefits.

Psalm 35:27 reminds us, “The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of His servant.” God takes pleasure in blessing His people; it brings Him joy to see His children walk in peace and favour. His love is not reluctant—it’s overflowing.

Psalm 84:11 -“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favour and honour; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” This verse emphasizes that God’s generosity flows from His nature — He loves to give good things to His children.

But when blessings seem hidden, and we don’t know why such things ae hallooing, let us respond like Job, who said, “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised” (Job 1:21). Even in loss, Job understood that God’s purposes were good. What looked like a season of taking was, in time, revealed as a season of shaping. God’s blessings are sometimes wrapped in mystery, but they are always for our good—for “we know that all things work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 8:28).

So, whether you’re walking through abundance or adversity, hold this truth close: each day, God loads you with blessings and carries you in His arms.

Reflection

  • What blessings has God already placed along my path today—and how can I pause to recognize His hand carrying me through?

Prayer

Father, thank You for Your daily goodness and unfailing love. Even when I don’t see or understand, You are at work—loading my days with blessings and carrying me through every burden. Help me to trust Your heart when I can’t trace Your hand.

Teach me to walk in gratitude and rest in the assurance that You are holding me close every step of the way.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
