What a blessing

I was almost in tears as I read a message from a pastor in Malaysia whom I’ve been supporting for the past three years. It was the first time I received such a heartfelt note from anyone, in this manner. Although we never expected anything in return for what we have sown, this pastors words reminded me that there are still those who remember and give back with gratitude. In a world where everyone just want to receive, these is like "balm in Gilead". It touched me deeply and reminded me that nothing sown in love is ever forgotten. ====================== Dear Pastor, Thank you so much for your continued support. We are truly blessed, and by God’s grace, our church is growing. We deeply appreciate how you stood with us when we were still striving. Today, we see the fruit of your prayers and the seeds you’ve sown into our lives. God has been so faithful, and doors are beginning to open for us. Pastor, I believe your ministry is also flourishing and will need this support even mor...

The Transformer – From a heart of stone to a heart of flesh

Ezekiel 36:26   — “ I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”   One of the most remarkable things I have witnessed is the transformation that takes place when a person comes to Christ. My father was a living example of this. Before he became a Christian, his life was marked by destructive habits and moral failures. But after he encountered Christ, he became a completely transformed man. And there are countless stories like his — testimonies of lives renewed by the grace and power of God.   Isn’t that what Paul meant when he wrote:   “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.”   —   2 Corinthians 5:17   In   Ezekiel 36 , God made a powerful promise to the nation of Israel. At that time, the people were scattered in exile because they had defiled the land with idols and sinful practices (vv.17–19). Yet even...

In the midst of noise

Image
And after the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” —  1 Kings 19:12 (NIV)   “Be still, and know that I am God.” —  Psalm 46:10 (NIV)   Have you noticed how much noise surrounds us today? The constant buzz of social media, the hum of the city streets, the chatter of people—and even the unending voices inside our own minds. Sometimes, the loudest noise isn’t around us but within us.   Even in moments of prayer or worship, our lips may sing praises while our minds wander. Thoughts rush in—our worries, plans, regrets, and even doubts. It’s no wonder many of us ask,  “How can I hear the voice of God amid all this noise?”   Just imagine—how is it possible to hear God’s voice amid so many distractions around us today? Even in moments meant for prayer, our phones buzz, notifications chime, and the television hums in the background. And we complain “God is not speaking”. The truth is God is peaking...

He loads us with blessings; He carries us in his arms

“Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah.” -  Psalm 68:19 (NKJV)   “Praise the Lord; praise God our Savior! For each day He carries us in His arms.” -  Psalm 68:19 (NLT)   Have you ever woken up wondering what the day might bring—or gone to bed worried about what tomorrow holds? None of us can predict the future, not even what the next hour may bring. But there is One who knows. God knows the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end. Every detail of our journey is known to Him.   If you are worried about the future, Psalm 68:19 offers a comforting assurance about what our path looks like each day. David praises God as the One who  “daily loads us with benefits.”  In other words, every morning when we rise, we can be confident that our loving Father has already prepared and scattered blessings along our path—tokens of His goodness and mercy waiting for us to discover. And these are not small or...

When faith begins to waver

Scripture:   “But David thought to himself, ‘One of these days I will be destroyed by the hand of Saul.’”  — 1 Samuel 27:1   Introduction   Faith doesn’t always fail with a crash — sometimes it fades quietly under the weight of waiting. When prayers seem unanswered and the journey stretches on, even the strongest believer can feel the strain. David’s story in  1 Samuel 27:1   reminds us that the fiercest battles are often not fought on the field, but in the mind.   When faith grows weary, fear begins to reason — and reason without revelation always leads us away from God.   The mighty warrior who once stood fearless before Goliath now trembles before Saul. It wasn’t a fall into moral sin, but a fall into despair — a moment when faith gave way to fear, and the man after God’s own heart began listening to his own reasoning instead of God’s voice.   A collapse of faith in a mighty man   David was no ordinary believer. His life had been mark...
