Worshipping God with a Myanmar congregation in Singapore

Image
Yesterday afternoon I was blessed to worship the Lord with the Myanmar congregation that gather in CT Hub, Kallang. They are using the premises of City Mission Church. I was invited to share there by a Haggai Alumni, Bro Moses, who is a senior UN official. This is the first time being in a Myanmar church in Singapore. About 200 people and gathered for the service. It started at 3pm and ended at 5:45 PM.   I was simply blown away. More than 200 Myanmar people working in Spore gathered for the service. The worship was so vibrant and sincere. God's presence was so overwhelming. The  people  just expressed  their worship without fear or shyness. I have never experienced such awesome worship, even in the many places in Myanmar where I have been so many times. In spite of the coup back home, and the many challenges in Singapore, the faith in the Lord Jesus was so evident. How true the words of Jesus...

Pray for Esther

Image
This is Pst Mohan, his wife and their daughter Esther who is 10 years old. Pst Mohan is a very hardworking church planter in Odisha. When Esther was 3 years old, she was diagnosed with a hole in the heart. But because they were living in a remote village with no proper medical facilities, nothing was done for her. In Mar when the team from Singapore visited Odisha, we advised that Esther should see a specialist as her heartbeat was exceptionally irregular. On consultations with doctors at Ripur ( a major town), the doctors advised that her heart's condition is in a very serious state and even surgery will not help. They were surprised that she is still alive with a heart condition like that. I consulted my friends at CMC Vellore (a prestigious Christian hospital). They too were not optimistic about her condition. However they agreed to do a thorough screening of her condition to see if there is any ray of hope available for Esther. I have asked Bishop Anjan to take Esther and famil...

His Arrow Church service

I had the privilege today to minster the Word at His Arrow Church in Permimpin, near Bishan town. Pst Aow, the senior pastor of this church had given me the invitation. I spoke on "How to find rue Happiness and Joy",  based on Matthew 5:1-6. I was blessed being there. Thankful to God for the opportunities to bless HIs people.

Promise verse - April 23

Matthew 28:6 - He is not here; he has risen, just as he said   For PEC, this is the promise verse for the month of April. Pst Alvin shared this though on 31 Mar just before we entered into the new month dewing the prayer meeting. He said that these words speak about: God keeps His Promise God’s awesome Power God’s Love As I was mediating on this verse, I observed that the empty tomb’s impact on time –  the Past, the Present and the Future   The Past – His Pardon He is not here Jesus was tortured, beaten, crucified and eventually laid in the tomb.  He was there for three days but not anymore. Now the angel says to the women -  “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified…” But He is no longer here.  Death could not hold Him, the grave could not silence Him.   The empty tomb reminds me that Jesus died for my past sins and He remembers then no more. Many times we are condemned by our past, our sins and the old ...
