Psalms 112:2 -Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.

I was over joyed today to receive pictures of the new Sunday school building in the slum in Rasoolpura. This building was sponsored by our elders daughter Jessica and its aptly named Dr Jessica Ramachadnran Sunday School Building. In he words of Bishop Nehemiah, " hundreds of slum children will be blessed through this building and our tuition center. I am  thankful to the Lord that our children love the Lord and have the heart to bless the less fortunate. I can't ask for me.

Spreading the love at Westlite Migrant Dormitory

Image
It was another great privilege for us to be at Westlite  Dormitory. The authorities allowed us to present some goody bags to the foreign workers. There are easily about 4000 migrant workers living in this quarters, most of them with low income. Today we distributed Nescafe bags to the workers. Each bag also contained a tract of the message of Christmas.  In this way we are being the salt and the light of the earth.  Praying for more opportunities like these, so that w can bring cheer and comfort to these migrant workers who are living far away from home. We managed to get a few contacts with whom we will follow-up. Thanks much to the sponsors and those who helped to pack these bags.  To God be the glory.

Mary's song of Praise - Luke 1:46-55

After the angel left her, Mary responds in praise to God. I marvel that a teenager is able to write such powerful lyrics that outshines the sermon notes of many a preachers these days. It must be the work of the Holy Spirit. You see even a teenager, under the influence of the Holy Spirit can accomplish great exploits for God. So did  Joseph, David, Jeremiah and many more. And so can you and me. In her worship, she alludes to God as her source to the following facets of life:   1.       Source of Salvation       47  How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! 2.       Source of Sanctification (set apart)       48  For he took notice of his lowly servant girl,   and from now on all generations will call me blessed. 3.       Source of Strength      49  For the Mighty One is holy   and h...

Christmas Message - How can this be?

Image
My text this morning was taken from Luke 1:26-38. We considered the special encounter Mary had. Some lessons from this passage: 1.       Prominence before God      28  The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.” 2 .        Preferred by God       30  But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God. 3.      Purpose of God     31  You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 4.      Protest before God     34  “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” 5.    Presence of God       35  The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you,   and the power of the Most High   will overshadow you. So the holy one   to be born ...

Even our setbacks have a divine purpose

Luke 1:1-5-7 - In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly.  But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old. Even the  righteous have setbacks in life. Zechariah and Elizabeth were from the priestly line, they followed the Word of God and were blameless in God's sight and they served the Lord faithfully. They had all the character of the ones who deserved the blessings of Deuteronomy  28. Yet they were ridden with what people in those days would classify as a "curse". They had no children and now it's impossible for them to conceive. No hope of a next generation. Human reasoning would assume that God is unfair. Why are the others ble...

5th Church Planters Graduation in Myanmar

Image
It was another day of celebration as we conducted the 5th CP training in Yangon. 7 church planters graduated today.  Yesterday when I interviews the students, all of them testified how effective the training was and how it had impacted them. All of them are rearing to go and plant churches in the unreached places. Today's graduation was special as it was a hybrid meeting. Many joined via zoom. Although the ceremony was simple, it was dignified and very well organised.  I was privileged to share the Word via zoom for the ceremony and God did give us the right Word. Many were blessed and I'm indeed blessed to be part of this journey. Blessed to be partners with Bro David Kriner, a man after the heart of God. Special thanks to Rev John Phongsar. and wife  Seng Mai Shareh  for their faithfulness and commitment to end gospel poverty. Special thanks to Rev James Ng and wife Merilyn for their passion for Myanmar. Not forgetting Praise Evangelical  Chur...

Children's Christmas celebration in Assam

Image
Today we had two children's  Christmas   celebration in Assam. This is in conjunction with the tuition centres that are operating in these places. The first was at Rimona, Assam where about 100 children gathered for the celebration. The second was in a place called Baganpara in Assam. These are places where churches have been planted by our chruch planters. It's a joy to see all those happy faces as the kids received their presents and snacks. There was also singing, skits, dances and even the gospel massage.  Thankful to Bishop Samuel Sharma and our church planters who are doing an excellent work in thee difficult places. Also thankful to the sponsors who gave generously for these events. May the Lord richly reward them. Let Christ be the centre of our Christmas.

Miracle at Utesi village

Image
This morning my heart was over joyed after I received the following update from Odisha. Tears of joy as well. Bishop Anjan and his team had gone there to conduct the first Christmas  celebration  in that village.  Utesi is the first mountain village we started a tuition centre about 4 months ago. This village has a terrible past. More than 16 years ago they killed a  missionary who was trying to reach the village. Today the blood of the martyr is resulting in a new beginning. Bishop Anjan reported the following: "Yesterday at Utesi. Never happened before in the history of Dongriakon. Seems nothing but many were surprised to know this. God had given us another opportunity to share his love and  kindness to an old Dongriakond woman, she was  paralysed  for few years but when they heard about God's love they asked us to come and pray for this woman.  After the prayer she herself started having her meal. She never did this for many years. So...
