Be still
November has almost come to an end. This is the first Sunday in the last six months I am working, I think. Yes I have missed some Sundays because of overseas mission trips. But today, it is work. Circumstances had forced me to juggle work with more overriding demands. I really thank God for my colleagues who have been extremely kind and accommodating my shift changes. But today gave me some time from hectic Sunday schedules and to ruminate. As I sit in the office and reflect on what has transpired over the last trying months, I am reminded of the song “Be still”, especially the lyrics: When the oceans rise And the thunders roar I Will soar with You Above the storm Father You are King Over the flood And I will be still And know You are God Those words resonate with the scriptures, where David wrote in Psalms 46:10 - “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” But the ...
