PEC Church Camp 2014 - 12-16 Jun

Church camps have been a regular feature in PEC's history. Its a time of feeding on the Word as a family and bonding. It rejuvenates the soul, spirit and the family.

This year is no exception. But this year's church camp broke all records. 121 people attended the camp , with some others coming in for day sessions only. It was held in Pulai Springs, Johor. We also prayed much before the camp, that this will not be like any other. A time of revival and moving forward in the right direction.

The Lord did not disappoint us. Good word from Pst Daniel Moses and good fellowship. The results are to be seen in the days to come and I believe we will.

 We also celebrated Father's Day as well in the camp. Reminded me of my own father, a man of discipline and no-nonsense. A true disciple leaving behind a true legacy. I was especially touched by the words of Pst Nehemiah, who was invited to attend the camp,..."You are the father of us all in India". If that is true, then God's Amazing Grace has once again proved its point as it did in the case of the prodigal son. Another sister whispered softly as she shook my hands, "You are a father to PEC as well". Hmmm... I just realized, by Singapore standards, I am already a senior citizen..

 Cake cuttings by the fathers and leaders of PEC. Great celebration and remembering the legacy of our fathers. The kids presented their fathers with some tokens of love, hugs and lisses;

Sunday evening I was in the pool together with most the youths who attended the camp, playing Captain's Ball, a favorite in PEC camps. I looked around in the pool. Those around me were faster, stronger and full of energy. A new generation is arising. The Joshua Generation, with great potential and without any baggage of the past. Probably its time for the passing of the baton. They will take on the next lap and move Singapore and the world by storm. And for us, as two prophets have said, a foreign country beckons. We await the marching orders.
