Church Planter pioneers new work

Image
So far the Great Commission Training Centre in Kurnool has trained about 47 church planters. Today they have started cells in 97 different villages. One the them is Pastor Samuel. He is a graduate of the 4th batch in Mar 2009. He started work in 5 different villages in Ananthapur District. This week Bishop Nehemiah and Coordinator Rev Barnabas Reddy visited the work. The main work now has about 70 members. 11 baptisms were given during their visit. Bishop reported that this brother is doing an excellent work in the rural areas and many are coming to know the Lord. My heart rejoices in reading this report. May every village in AP hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and may many more churches be errect in all over AP. Baptism conducted by Bishop Nehemiah and Pst Samuel. In the m ain village, they gather in a hut for worship. They are in desperate need of a building. It costs $7000 Singapore dollars to put up a building. This is a real investment in God's kingdom.

Passion shows in behaviour

Nehemiah 2: 1-2 : In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. I had not been sad in his presence before; so the king asked me, "Why does your face look so sad when you are not ill? This can be nothing but sadness of heart."I was very much afraid, It has already been four months since Nehemiah heard the news that the walls were broken down. In chapter one we read how the news had broken him down. It drove him to fasting and prayer and it was intense. Nevertheless when he was in the king's presence he did not show his emotions, not wanting his feelings to interfere with his job. He was not interested in the pity of man nor was he a attention seeker. But how long can he hide his emotions. It eventually showed up and it caught the king's attention. A man who carries the Lord's burden or passion will not be able to hide it for long. It will eventually show not just in his...

Attitude towards life - I Thess 5:16-18

In concluding his letter to a young church , Paul gives three important perspective of the kind of attitude one should have towards this temporary, transient life. Verse 16 says Rejoice evermore. The NIV reads, Be joyful always. I don't think Paul wants the believer to be jumping for joy even at a funeral. What he is saying is an attitude of the heart. This attitude is not circumstance centered but God centered. It is a continuous state of being joyful. It speaks of an attitude to the present situation. Whether I am going though a crisis or a mountain top experience I am joyful. The only way one can be joyful and that is when we put our trust in the Lord. Psalms 33:21 says: In him our hearts rejoices for we trust in his holy name. Hence for our present situation in life we can be joyful because our trust is in Him and that is all that matters. It was for this reason Job was able to say, The Lord gave and the Lord took, Blessed be the Name of the Lord - Job 1:21 Verse ...
