New Training Centre

Image
To the glory of God, today we dedicated another new training centre in Pondicherry, South India.  Today  we have 10 such training centres. God  willing, we   will  be opening  another one soon in Indonesia. We thank the Lord for  giving  us this place at a low cost to run our church planters training program for those in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.  We  praise  God for Pst Thomas and his team for working  passionately  for the Kingdom of God in reaching the  unreached  and in training many  church  planters.  I am indeed blessed to have committed and sincere men partnering with us in the mission field. May the Lord honour him and his family.

Father's joy - 1st wedding n the family

Image
It's been the day we all have been  waiting for. The wedding ceremony of our second daughter Jecintha Reena with Michael Partiban. Strangely both have the same surname, but don't worry they are not related. 😊 They both met during their line of work in the Counselling and Social work in Singapore.  The wedding took place at St Paul's Church in Toronto. The church is more than a hundred years old but the architecture is simply astounding.  Both families of the bride and groom Lew to Toronto to witness the ceremony.  Partiban is working in Toronto and Reena hope to find a job there soon. The wedding was simple but dignified, with family and friends. But most importantly the Lord was present in that beautiful ceremony.  When I reflect the life of Reena, I can only say that it is truly the grace and protection of the Lord that she is still around today. I remember very vividly when she was in a state of coma in 2016 and how the Lord miraculously bro...

History in the making - The Gospel in their own language

15 Jun will be a historic day in PEC Odisha. We are going to inaugurate the Gospel of Mark in Dongria Kiwi language of the Dongriakond tribal people in the hills of Rayagada Odisha. We did this with the help of students in school and our church planter who is well versed with the language. This is the first time in history this has been done we are praying to do the same for the other gospels as we ll. May the name of Jesus be gloried in this great project and thousand of unreached tribal people will come to know Jesus as Lord.

Pentecost Sunday -The Holy Spirit

You might as well try to hear without ears or breathe without lungs, as try to live a Christian life without the Spirit of God in your heart. ―  D. L. Moody Sunday was last week but this this morning I spoke on the  events in Acts 2 and how does it impacted our lives.  My text was taken from Acts 2:1-13 and I considered what it means to be filled with the Holy  Spirit. First the importance of Preparation. The 120 were gathered in the upper room and were together in one accord. Acts 1:14 -  T hese all continued with one accord in prayer When people come together with a sincere desire for prayer, you will see the work and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Second the Purpose the Holy Spirit was given to the church. Acts 1:8  -  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my  witnesses  in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” The Holy Spirit wa...

A heart warming story

Image
I received the following story from Bishop Anjan last night. "Raju and her aunt came to see me. They are from the Sagdi village in the mountain where church planter Sunil and his wife are having a tuition centre. It is a very  backward  village and hardly any  hygiene  standards. Kids there don't go to school, hardly any form of education. Raju is an orphan . They came to our  home and  requested me to keep Raju in Shadrach Home. I saw the talent of this boy and I  couldn't say no to this lady. Raju is her nephew. Now Raju has been admitted in 3rd standard class in a government school. Raju has never been to a school before but the hard work of church planter Sunil made this boy eligible to join the 3rd standard.                                                I believe through this  ...
