Mission Trip to Jaigon, Bhutan Border - 17-25 Feb

Image
It was indeed a privilege to be there in Jaigon, at the Bhutan Border. Three sisters from Singapore, who have contributed to the work, joined me in this trip. We arrived at Bagdora Airport in West Bengal on 18th of Feb and travelled by road for another 5 hours to reach the Bhutan Border. A whole day of travelling was tiring.By God's grace a group of 18 participants underwent Leadership and Evangelism training for a period of one and a half month. I took Biblical Mandate and shared with the participants on the urgency of doing evangelism. Pst John Signey from Chennai and Bishop Nehemiah also joined me in the trip. Special thanks to KC Wong, Larry and Val Hunderby and others who helped sponsor the seminar. Some from the local churches donated , donations in kind, like rice, vegetables, oil etc. May God honour their contributions. On Saturday, 20th Feb, a Ladies meeting was held in the afternoon in one of the local church and the sisters from the team shared their testimonies and th...

Nehemiah - The Civil Servant

While meditating on the Book of Nehemiah. the Spirit impressed a few things on my mind. Nehemiah was not a prophet, priest or a king. He was a civil servant yet God chose to use him, in spite of the fact that there were, at least priests, still around in Jerusalem. Why would God honour a layman above the established executives of the spiritual kingdom, namely the kings, prophets and the priests. When the established order, the so called "called ones", slacken or fail in their appointed duties, God will rise, even the stones, to sing forth his praise. The first thing that struck me was that Nehemiah mentioned in 1:1 - "while I was in the citadel of Susa". He was in the place of the king, and there for a purpose. He was occupied in the king's business. No lazy people are found loitering near any king's palace. He was gainfully employed, albeit secular, yet in a senior cabinet position. It only goes to show that God does not use lazy people. In spite of his sec...

New Churches Planted - Nellore District

Image
This week Pst Nehemiah visited 3 church planters from the 3rd batch who are pioneering work in Nellore District in AP. By God's grace three churches have been planted and they are also reaching out to the surrounding areas. They have managed to raise their own funds to built simple structures for a place of worship. Our investment in the Bible School is indeed producing fruits. It blesses our hearts to know that these young men have through their own congregations raised the money to built the structures. Simple but suits their needs. Pst Joseph is 26 yrs old and is married. He works in Penumbally and has about 30 members. He has also pioneering work in three other nearby villages. Pst Rajkumar is 28 yrs old and his main church is at Anna Reddy Palem which has about 50 members. He is pioneering in four other villages as well. Pst Steven has three children. His main church is at Annapalem Colony which has about 50 members. He is pioneering in three other villages as well. Continue ...
