Baptism at the Sembawang Beach

Image
It was a joy today to baptize five youths from our church. About 40 people gathered at the beach in the afternoon for the event. Pst Alvin and my self conducted the service. All those taking baptism shared a short testimony and I shared a little from the scriptures before going into the water. We pray that we will see many more baptism this year. To God be the glory

Servanthood - Why is this necessary in the church

This morning I spoke on the subject of servant hood. As I was doing a stud, I was amazed how wide the topic is. I considered  the why of servant hood, We need servanthood principles: In our own lives as individuals as we want to follow the steps of Jesus - Deals with the heart In the church level as we need to be of one heart and one mind - Deals with the Head In  the community, we need to the salt and light - Deals with the Hands Will continue more in the next week.

Preached at a new church

This morning I was invited to speak at the Singapore Charismatic Church. The Senior Pastor of the church read my book and she invited me to speak on Missions and Evangelism. I spoke on the urgency of evangelism and the message was well received.  Thanking God for opening new doors to share the Word.

COVID 19 – Its implications

The world has been intimidated by this pestilence. Although the source was from Wuhan, China, as of today about 30 countries have been affected. With the death count still rising and the number of suspected cases surpassing previous estimates, one wonders if this disease is stoppable. Scientists tell us that the earliest a vaccine can be found for this epidemic can be about 6 months’ time. Today some churches are closing their doors for services because of this threat. One senior pastor of a local church has been confirmed case. It is so sad to hear about the deaths and how many lives and families have been shattered by this evil aggression. My heart goes out to these families and we have been praying for them and for the disease to be stopped. But why this sudden outbreak? Why all these pain? This is my own assessment: Biblical Prophecy Many saints are saying that what we are witnessing is a  precursor  to what is to come. The Book of Revelation speaks about t...

Wuhan Virus

In times like this, we claim and declare the blood of Jesus and the promises in Psalms 91 for ourselves, our families, our church and our nation.: Psalm 91 1  Whoever dwells in the shelter  of the Most High      will rest in the shadow  of the Almighty. [ a ] 2  I will say of the  Lord , “He is my refuge  and my fortress,      my God, in whom I trust.” 3  Surely he will save you      from the fowler’s snare      and from the deadly pestilence. 4  He will cover you with his feathers,      and under his wings you will find refuge;      his faithfulness will be your shield  and rampart. 5  You will not fear  the terror of night,      nor the arrow that flies by day, 6  nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,      nor the plague that destroys at m...

Image
I arrived Kuching yesterday afternoon. The purpose was to brief those going on the next mission trip and also to speak at Good News Fellowship on Sunday morning. Yesterday evening, met together worth eh mission team. After the briefing we had a time of prayer and everyone seemed excited to go on this trip. I stayed with Soo Teck and Li Ern. Wonderful young couple with a passion for the Lord This morning I spoke at Good News Fellowship. It was good to meet some familiar faces. Felt God's anointing and many were encouraged and challenged with the message. Nw all set to go home via Senai. This routing is much cheaper, although a bit longer, than departure from Singapore. Thanking od for all the opportunities to be a witness for His name. To God be the glory.
