Pakistani Pastor speaks to Indian pastors - Another first for PEC

Today we had the monthly pastors' meeting at Rasoolpura, Telangana, for our church planters and pastors from Telangana and AP. The difference was, we had a pastor from Gujrat, Pakistan, speaking and sharing the Word with them via zoom. This is the first time, a Pakistani pastor is addressing our church planters and it's a historic first.

Pst Ashraf is our CP Coordinator in Pakistan and currently the second batch of CPs are undergoing training. He is a man of humility and great passion to end gospel poverty in Pakistan.

Today he addressed our church planters on the importance of Discipleship. The church planters were blessed with the message and we will see more of such exchanges in the future.

As I was watching the session in progress, I was thinking how can two nations, with a long history of animosity, can come together. The answer is in the cross of Jesus Christ.

  • 2 Cor 5:18-19All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
  • Ephesians 2:14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,

Only Jesus has the answer to the divided humanity in this world. And God is now calling us to fulfil the cultural mandate given in Genesis 1:28“Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

I also realised that Haggai International was a great contributing factor in this association. Pst Ashraf, Bishop Nehemiah and myself are all the alumni of Haggai. The Lord brought us together through Haggai. We all have one passion - End gospel poverty. God has brought us together to help another to see "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven".

Ins't this heaven on earth.... we are on our way. You can too. To God be the glory.
