Pray for our brothers and sisters in Myanmar

Image
Yesterday a town called Sadong, where a CP  Tu Aung is ministering, was bombed by jet fighters while school children are around. Many deaths are reported. We thank God that our CPs and church members are safe though the place bomb dropped is about 1 km from the church. Please continue to uphold our brothers and sisters in Myanmar in prayer. If you feel led to bless them, contact me.

The call to radical discipleship

Image
In today’s world of Christianity, countless voices attempt to define what it means to follow Christ. At one extreme, some insist that true discipleship demands abandoning everything and retreating into seclusion. At the other, prosperity preachers declare that health and wealth are the ultimate marks of God’s favour, and poverty or suffering means you are not truly blessed. But who holds the truth? The safest and surest way is to turn away from human opinions and listen to Christ Himself.    In Matthew 16:24, Jesus gives His own unmistakable call to discipleship -  “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow me.”   This command comes immediately after a moment of tension—Peter rebukes Jesus for predicting His suffering and death, revealing a common misunderstanding about the Messiah’s mission. Jesus corrects him sharply, exposing the limitations of human thinking and unveiling the true cost of following Him.   I have n...

Jason and Joanna’s Wedding - 25 Sep 2025

Image
On 24 September, we arrived in Hyderabad at about 9:20 pm. Jeya cleared immigration without any issue, but because of my previous experience, I was once again called into a room for questioning. By the time we were finally cleared, it was close to midnight. Truly, it was the hand of God that saw us through. At moments of crisis, God often uses unexpected people to help us, and this was one such occasion. Special thanks to all who prayed for us. Bishop Nehemiah was patiently waiting for us at the airport, and together we drove to Nalgonda—a two-hour journey. The wedding of Jason and Joanna took place on 25 September in a large hall in the city, quite an impressive venue for a small town. Jason is someone very dear to us. We have known him since childhood, watching him grow from a mischievous lad into a fine young man. He has even accompanied us on some of our trips, always respectful and helpful. It was a great joy to witness his wedding day.   Joanna is also someone we have known s...

Don’t waste your time

Image
“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” — Ephesians 5:16 In my younger days, I never thought much about making the best use of my time. Honestly, ‘wasting time’ would have been a more accurate description of my early days. Then one day, a sister from my church spoke words that pierced my heart:   ‘Rama, if you keep wasting your time and don’t focus on your studies, you’ll never make it in life.’   In that moment, I realized that time is a gift — a currency of life that can never be reclaimed once spent. Her words became a turning point, teaching me that to redeem the time is not just a wise idea; it is a spiritual responsibility. From that day on, I began to live with intention, knowing that every moment is entrusted by God and can either be squandered or invested for His glory   Human history is punctuated with proverbial wisdom that testifies to the fleeting nature of time. We hear,  “Time and tide wait for no man,”  or,  “Make hay while the sun ...

The beginning of wisdom

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”— Proverbs 9:10 Wisdom is not something that we can buy from the market or learn from books. True wisdom comes from God. While knowledge can be gathered through study and experience, wisdom is the ability to apply that knowledge rightly, with understanding, discernment, and the fear of the Lord. The Bible says,   “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). This means wisdom flows out of a relationship with God, as He guides our thoughts, words, and actions. When I first came to know the Lord, one of the very first verses I was taught to memorise was,   “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”   At that stage of my journey, I could repeat it easily, but I didn’t really understand what it meant. It was more like words stored in my memory than truth written on my heart.   Over time, as I grew in my walk with God, I began to realise that this...

The eyes of God

“The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.”  —  Psalm 34:15 (NIV) My wife and I have three children, and I remember vividly when they were born. In those early days, my wife’s eyes were completely fixed on them. No matter how important the guests or how busy the day, her focus never wavered. Her eyes were locked on our newborns, ensuring they were safe, fed, and cared for. She wanted them to feel secure, to know they were loved, and to rest in the peace of her gaze. In many ways, our Heavenly Father’s relationship with us mirrors this. Just as my wife’s eyes were always on our children, God’s eyes are always on us, His children. He watches over us, not as a distant observer, but with tender, loving care, ensuring that we are provided for, protected, and safe. From the first pages of Scripture to its closing words, the Bible speaks of the eyes of the Lord—not as distant, cold observers, but as tender, watchful, and deeply personal. God’...

Another update from NE India

On 15th September, we were privileged to witness the joyous baptism of 17 new believers in one of our churches in Assam. Pastor Alphi, who has been faithfully serving the congregation, continues to do incredible work in this region. In spite of the many peresecution and government regulations, God is moving mightily by His Spirit and people are coming to know the Lord. The people here, though simple and hardworking—many of them labouring in the fields—have a profound love for the Lord, and their devotion was clearly evident as they took this important step in their faith. The baptism service was followed by a heartfelt meeting of believers, where the presence of the Holy Spirit was gently felt among us. It was a beautiful moment of unity and spiritual renewal as the congregation came together in worship and fellowship.   On 17 September, we had the graduation of 14 students from the PECM School of Ministry in Dalsingpara, neat the Bhutan border. This is the 18th batch of students w...

When all else fails — Strength in the Lord

"David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God."  — 1 Samuel 30:6 (NIV) Have you ever faced a moment when it felt like everything was falling apart? Not just circumstances beyond your control, but even the very people you poured your life into — the ones you mentored, nurtured, and promoted — suddenly turning against you? Maybe it was at work, in ministry, or even within your own family. You gave your best, but instead of gratitude, you faced rejection and blame. In my life, I did have such experiences but thank God it were few. You can imagine the pain such incidences bring. David knew that pain.  In this passage, we encounter David in a moment not of triumph, but of intense personal anguish. The warrior-poet, the anointed king-in-waiting, the giant-slayer—now finds himself abandoned, accused, and threatened by the very men who once r...
