In His Time.......... with P.Ramachandran

--> On 14 Jan morning, Jeya and I departed for Tamil Nadu. Our flight to Chennai was delayed due to poor visibility. At Chennai we rendezvous with Rev Rubern Bala and we proceeded to Villipuram. We drove about 5 hrs to Veerapandi in Villipuram. It was a joy to meet Pst Thomas and the church planters.  We had the privilege to baptize the two children of Pst Thomas and what a celebration it was.  The church planters remembered our wedding anniversary. Treats like this make the journey a lit easier to manage. We are thakful to the Lord for these little delights along the way. That evening I shared the Word with the church planters. I encouraged them to persevere in the work of the Lord. --> Today Jeya and I departed for Chennai to catch a flight to Patna while Rev Rubern Bala continued with the church planters in teaching and discussions. This is our first trip for the year 2020 as we embark on ending gospel poverty. Rev Albert Pang, Jeya and I went on this trip. It was a hectic trip as we wanted to cover as much ground as possible. The objectives for the trip were as follows: 2 church dedications in Telangana State  Sunday service in Rasoolpura Two days couples seminar in Hyderabad Baptism and meeting with church planters in Tamil Nadu Teaching church planters and visits in Bihar We had two church dedications on 11 Jan.  The first was in a village in Nalagonda District.. It took us more than 5 hrs to reach this remote village. Rev Albert Pang and his wife Josephine Wong sponsored this church. The church was full and it was our joy to dedicate this church for the glory of God. We were blessed to see the hard work done by PEC church planters in remote places, doing all we can to end gospel poverty. The second church was about two hours away. Today I spoke at both the morning and evening service and challenged our people to give to missions.  The first half of the last decade was more of planting and sowing seeds. The second half was where we saw the results coming in. As we looked back, we can truly see the hand of the Lord in PEC missions. I told our people that the reason why we have come so far is because of the following:   God's Grace and mercy   Support from the church leaders and members   Encouragement from outsiders The hard work on the ground by the church planters and workers   Today we see the results.  From the promise verse in Isaiah 43:18-19, I suggested three reasons why we have been blessed: Blessed to proclaim His praises Blessed to give my resources Blessed to do exploits for the Kingdom We are praying for a greater harvest this year. He will indeed make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. 

We had a wonderful watch night service. The last decade has been exceptionally wonderful. We have seen the hand of the Lord lead us and we know God will lead us further in the new decade.  The promise verse for this year is found in Isaiah 43:18-19 -  Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness  and streams in the wasteland. This year has many challenges. We are rebuilding our church in Singapore, our new building project in Myanmar for the Shadrach Home and our missions budget. Trusting God for His provisions and am blessed with these wonderful people as leaders in our church.   It will be hard in the coming days to find people like them. Men of integrity, passion for the Lord and with the  heart of a servant. The wives are exceptional too. They are the reason why PEC still exists. To God be the glory.  ...

As I come to the close of the year, I aways take stock of what I have been doing with my life, family and ministry.  It’s always good to take stock. As I see the postings over the last few days on facebook and other social media, its soo good to see how my friends have been blessed wuth family and good life. I see many celebrate on holidays and taking pride in going to many new destinations, trying exortic ventures and food and just celebrating life. Nothing wrong at all. But one thing remians and I think that is the ultimate question for every believer. How did my life impact the Kingdom of God? what have I done to end gospel poverty? I am reminded of the phrase in Mat 16:26 -  What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world,…. All the celebrations are good.
